South of the Attic Peninsula on the east site of Peloponnese lie six different islands, Aegina, Skala, Poros, Hydra, Dokos, Spetses each of them has to offer its own beauty to the summer visitors. Aegina with its ancient temple of Aphaia, Poros with its white houses takes after a Cycladic Island, Hydra on the other hand is rough yet beautiful to paint. Spetses for example attracts with its beaches and its flavorsome smelling pine forests. Salamis almost urban, since this island is located almost two kilometers away from coast of Piraeus (Athens), someone can moor his/her boat at the port of salamis or anchor at one of the numerous bays.

Yet almost everybody keeps sailing away, up to the beautiful Hydra (an anchor stop in Ormos Mandraki, almost a nautical mile east of the Chora) or until Poros where you can moor your yacht and enjoy the shadow of the numerous blue domes. Or also until the busy and lively Aegina. For different preferences, Dokos is an uninhabited place where at you can enjoy unique moments with your beloved ones. Apart from, someone definitely, has take the opportunity and head for the coasts of eastern Peloponnese, Kyparissi for example, is a beautiful bay, surrounded by high mountains . The small harbor bay called Gerakas, is also surrounded by High rocks, and one of the numerous bays that intersect each other between the ochre yellow rocks.

There are so many bays and harbors, which are worth wandering across the eastern bank of the Peloponnese and the Saronic island – distant and enchanted, picturesque, lively and ancient destinations. Weather The Saronic Gulf and the eastern Peloponnese are much less affected by the strong winds of the Aegean Sea, usually you don’t even feel the Meltemi wind (north east, around 4 Beaufort). At the east coast of the Peloponnese however some unexpected gusts may occur sometimes from 6 to 7 Beaufort. During the Meltemi pause period the wind blows usually from a southern direction, in the afternoon between 3 and 5 Beaufort, in the evening much weaker.
